Question: Where do bears go during the day?

Black bears do most of their foraging and feeding at dawn and dusk. That doesnt mean that they wont eat during the rest of the day, but its usually not their top priority. Theyll spend a good chunk of the day resting. During the hottest part of the day, black bears will almost always find a shady spot to nap in.

What time of day are bears most active?

Bear Behavior Bears are most active during early morning and late evening hours in spring and summer.

Do black bears come out during the day?

Bears are usually active from dawn to dusk, but they may be seen any time of day or night. Bears in many places of high human use have become nocturnal in order to avoid people.

What do bears do all day?

Behavior: Most bears become active a half-hour before sunrise, take a nap or two during the day, and bed down for the night an hour or two after sunset. Some bears are active mainly at night to avoid people or other bears. In southern states where food is available year-round, some bears do not hibernate at all.

Is it better to hunt in the rain?

Rain bothers hunters, not deer. Gear up and share the woods with whitetails on rainy days. Deer will be active all day during a steady rain, especially if the wet weather lasts for several days. The deer are out there and they must eat and socialize (especially during the rut).
