UNHCR has its presence in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan. The Regional Office coordinates its humanitarian activities in Central Asia, including the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

UNHCR relies almost entirely on voluntary contributions. Individual governments and the European Union provide 85 per cent of our budget. Another 11 per cent comes from individuals and the private sector, including foundations, corporations and the public.
