At noon means 12pm. We dont really say in the noon. We do say at noontime, though. It means generally around 12pm, in the middle of the day.

Which is correct in the afternoon or at the afternoon?

To say “at afternoon” is not grammatically correct because we are using the preposition in its place form. However, this is what confuses many English learners because we can say, at midday.
