Question: How do you replace lenses in glasses?

Can you replace lenses in glasses yourself?

Eyeglass lens replacement can be done at home, by yourself. The process of removing and replacing the lenses of your glasses varies depending on the frame; for example, the process of plastic and metal frames is a little different.

How long does it take to put new lenses in glasses?

This process approximately takes between 1 and 2 days. Once your frames arrive in our state of the art lens laboratory, well start making your lenses to the original frames exact measurements to ensure a safe and secure fit. This will take us between one and two days also.

Can I have prescription lenses put in my own frames?

In general, you can put prescription lenses in any frames. We might be able to add your new lenses to your old frames. Getting new lenses for old frames isnt usually something we recommend, as its best to update your frames at the same time as your lenses, but its not impossible.

Single-vision lenses and progressive no-line lenses are available at Walmart Vision Center. Once youve selected your prescription type, you can choose from clear, basic tint, polarized tint and transition lenses.
