Question: Does a book report need a conclusion?

CLASS. Just like an exciting introduction that draws the reader in, the conclusion of a book report needs to wrap up the writers thoughts and leave the reader wanting to learn more. Thats why its important to teach students how to end their reports by reflecting on the characters, themes, setting and plot.

How do you write a conclusion for a book report?

Conclusion. Sum up or restate your thesis or make the final judgment regarding the book. You should not introduce new evidence for your argument in the conclusion. You can, however, introduce new ideas that go beyond the book if they extend the logic of your own thesis.

Are conclusions necessary in reports?

Even in a short report, it is useful to include a conclusion. A conclusion demonstrates good organization. When written well, it can help make the readers task easier. With a good conclusion, you can pull all the threads of the report details together and relate them to the initial purpose for writing the report.
